Question of the Day: Why were there 10 plagues?
Pharaoh's magicians were able to duplicate the first two plagues, but by the third was out of tricks. By sending ten plagues, God was able to make it clear that what was happening was nothing short of a miracle. Any less, and it's conceivable that doubt would remain as to the validity of the miracle.
